Although we have undertaken various communication activities to convey the reasons, benefits and impact of SAP, we felt it necessary to start working on the emotional level of all end-users. We wanted a highly visible, exciting and powerful intervention to demonstrate critical information as part of the preparation of end-users for the implementation of SAP.
We had 20 shows in two weeks at our Production site during which we reached 1100 end-users from all levels in the organisation. At Head office we had 4 different shows reaching almost 300 employees. After each show the attendees evaluated the show. The evaluation questions were based on the objectives we had defined for this intervention. The majority rated this type of intervention as great fun and excellent learning. There was also a high correlation between the objectives we defined and what attendees experienced as the most important learning points from the show. From a project point of view one of the biggest benefits was stressing the importance of training and motivating the end-users to attend the training.
The Learning Theatre has proven that they successfully can integrate the creative energies of the Industrial Theatre concept with the sometimes complex and conceptual concepts of SAP to make it understandable to almost any type of audience.
