The Learning Theatre - Past, Present and Future
This overview provides a brief perspective on the achievements and the future direction of The Learning Theatre Organisation.
The success achieved was made possible through wonderful support (and challenges) from clients, colleagues, partners, actors, directors, musicians, production managers, etc…..THANK YOU!
The Learning Theatre has for the last six years produced industrial theatre performances dealing with a broad range of topics in a wide range of industries for audiences that vary from illiterate to executive level in almost all the official languages of South Africa.
We performed on feed belts in sawmills, on the back of trucks in Townships, in fire stations, in marquee tents, in shopping centers, at Taxi ranks, on dance floors, in local community centers, at Universities, in conference centers and in theatres all over Southern Africa.
We built ongoing relationships with corporate clients and international industrial theatre specialists, and with strategic partners such as Deloitte Consulting, The Human Resources Department of the University of Pretoria, Morethetho Arts Project, etc.
We developed first in the world dramatic applications in the business world such as Facilitated Theatre®, Participative Experiential Theatre®, PromoTheatre®, etc.
