The GO 4 GR8 campaign is something that the personnel at Sasol Oil is very passionate about. In fact, a four-day road show was organized to spread the word, and the passion, to every last staff member from Randburg, to Alrode and all the way through to Secunda. The Learning Theatre was there to delight and instruct with a hilariously funny comedy that conveyed the key messages of the GO 4 GR8 campaign.

Based on the book ‘Good to Great’ by Jim Collins, the Industrial theatre play entitled Come Fly Away with Flywheel Travel tells the story of Ivan, the manager of a travel agency called Flywheel Travel. Ivan knows that Flywheel Travel is very good at what they do, but he wants them to become truly great. In his quest to ensure greatness, Ivan asks Mavis, a mid-level manager in his company, to join him in taking a tour on one of their company busses to determine the potential areas of improvement.
They join Gerry, the tourbus driver and the lovely Lucia, the tour guide, on a tailor-made tour filled with all kinds of comical disasters, provoking discussions, and plenty of solutions from unexpected sources. By using the analogy of the buss tour, Ben Kruger, cleverly creates a story that unfolds in a beautifully layered performance with multi-leveled learning opportunities.
After the audience disappears back into their offices, the tune of the GO 4 GR8 song is still being heard in the corridors and hallways. With this dazzling performance, the staff at Sasol Oil are all getting the right seats on the big blue bus and quickly buckling up, because this bus is going for the great
